Earlier this year we wanted to create a gorgeous styled shoot of an intimate urban wedding reception and couldn't think of a better spot than our next door neighbor, Commune. Aside from their amazing hyper-local food, Commune is also a beautiful venue that is both warm and bright at the same time. Hand-made, rough wooden tables, Windsor-style chairs with a modern twist in the sleek lines and shiny black color, and local artwork and bar stools were the perfect backdrop for our set up. We collaborated with our local West Elm and Paxton and Corinne - their amazing stylists - immediately "got" the look I was going for and chose these rich gray linens, geometric metal pieces, hammered flatware and dishes. Together we created a rustic modern table setting with fresh flowers, paper goods, linens, dishes, serveware and glasses. Printed goods by Paper Dolls Design tied together the rustic urban design and fresh, local food straight from Commune's garden. The photos were captured perfectly by Sarah Street Photography.
